The Cliff School, Ootacamund was founded in the year 1955 by the late P.I. Zachariah, a pioneer in the field of child Education in the Nilgiris. During its decades of existence, it has successfully coached many boys and girls for admission to the leading public schools namely, the Lawrence School, Lovedale, and several other English Medium Schools in the Nilgiris and elsewhere in the South.

Admissions
We admit children from the ages of 3 onwards. We have a “Learn Through Play” Preschool for the toddlers.
Vacations
Two vacations in a year - the Monsoon vacation from early June to the end of July, and the winter vacation from early November to Mid-January.
Food
True to the saying. A healthy mind in a healthy body, the School understands the nutritive requirements of the growing child.
The Medicare
Qualified Nurses are in charge of the health of children. All Children are weighed monthly and records of weights and heights maintained.
Keeping in touch
Children write to parents regularly. Parents are requested to keep in touch with their children Through letter’s frequently.

Cliff Primary and Middle
We have curated our primary school curriculum in a way that it becomes an enjoyable experience for children aged between 6 to 10 years when their physical and mental development is quick and all-encompassing. In India, primary school education is divided into two parts: lower primary (Grades 1-4) and upper primary or middle school (Grades 5-8). Every child’s hysical well-being necessitates primary schooling. While elementary schools place a strong emphasis on academics, they also emphasise athletics and skill-based activities to help children improve their social skills and participation abilities. Primary education not only focuses on reading and writing, it also stresses upon the need of proper leanliness and nutrition.
